Утверждается, что на Фокусе, во всяком случае мерюканьском, но думаю они все одинаковые (раз уж у меня на всех пистонах написано маде ин германь :) можно много всего узнать через тестовый режим панели приборов. Чуть ли не коды диагностики считать. Сам я не пробывал, но вот читал.

так оно и есть
+++ там все тесты приборов, лампочки, скорость в милях и километрах, тахометр, коды ошибок, температура в фарингейтах и цельсиях и много чего еще :) все высвечивается на табло одометра. Можно на ходу. У меня, например, спидометр стрелочный завышает где-то на 2-3 км/ч относительно цифрового.

Description: The Instrument cluster of all US-Spec Foci have a built in test-mode that utilizes the odometer display, complete with digital speedometer, tachometer and diagnostic readings... Wanna access it? :)

How To Do It! 1) Insert Key (do not turn it) 2) Press and hold the Trip-Meter Reset Button 3) While holding the reset button, start your car and continue holding the button. 4) Within 10 seconds, the display should change to "test" (written in a silly LCD font) and the needles will go nuts. No biggie. Release the Button. 5) Pressing the button will now cycle through some 15 different modes. I am providing this information only in the name of "hacking" the instrument cluster. Geeks like me want to know what every little status message is supposed to mean, and that's what I'm providing to you. Many codes found in this mode mean absolutely nothing without some expensive test equipment at the dealership. These descriptions are, more often that not, very, very misleading. Certain codes may be displayed which are not indexed here. Do NOT mention DTC's to your dealer, as their equipment will find it. Do not use DTC's as an excuse to take your car to the dealer. They will laugh at you (not kidding). Unless something seems really wrong (car won't start, Check engine light is on beyond initial test period after starting up, or you're hearing funny noises), Leave it alone. Thanks.
